E80887E30677FFFAFC82A24CFCD8A1C2.taxon	discussion	Remarks. This new species is similar to Scaphisoma hapiroense Löbl in antennomere ratio (antennomere 5 as long as 6, 8 shorter than 5 or 6), body length (around 2.0 mm), and basal bulb of median lobe with an oval shape, nearly circular. However, they can be distinguished by the combination of the following characters: ratio of antennomere 3 to 11 (4: 7: 11: 11: 15: 10: 13: 13: 16), bicolored elytra (yellowish brown but reddish brown in sutural and basal region), and the different form and structure of the aedeagus. This species is also similar to Scaphisoma atronotatum Pic in the size of the median lobe and the long and wide paramere that is post-basally enlarged. However, they can be distinguished by the wider and more oval basal bulb, paramere with apically and dorsally enlarged region, and the different form of the internal sac (Fig. 6).	en	Kim, Ye-Jun, Ahn, Kee-Jeong (2023): Descriptions of Two New Species of Scaphisoma Leach (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Scaphidiinae) in Korea. Head, pronotum, and elytra black; mouthparts, antennae, and tarsi reddish brown; remainder of legs yellowish brown. Head with fine, sparse punctures. Maxillary palpomere 3 triangularly enlarged and flattened; relative ratio of antennomeres 3 to 11 (4: 5: 7: 13: 15: 11: 13: 14: 17), antennomeres 7 – 11 expanded; antennomere 5 very short, shorter than 3 and 4 combined (Fig. 10). Pronotum finely, densely punctate, about 1.7 times as wide as long. Elytra distinctly, densely punctate, punctation denser than that of pronotum. Protibia, mesotibia, and metatibia straight. Submesocoxal area narrow, 0.06 mm. Metaventrite with fine punctures at middle, coarsely punctate in lateral area; submetacoxal area narrow, 0.07 mm long, gradually widened lateral of median margin, as long as one-fifth length of abdominal sternite III. Metacoxal sutural area very narrow. Abdominal sternite III finely, densely punctate.	en	Kim, Ye-Jun, Ahn, Kee-Jeong (2023): Descriptions of Two New Species of Scaphisoma Leach (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Scaphidiinae) in Korea. E80887E30672FFFDFD74A78BFE57A0A8.taxon	discussion	Remarks. This species is similar to Scaphisoma subalpinum Reitter in body size and blackish body coloration but can be distinguished by the triangular maxillary palpomere 3. Also, Scaphisoma seorsum (Löbl) is similar to this species in body size, antennomere ratio, and by possessing a triangular maxillary palpomere 3, but can be distinguished by the difference in punctation patterns of the metaventrite, with fine punctures in the middle and coarse punctures in the lateral area.	en	Kim, Ye-Jun, Ahn, Kee-Jeong (2023): Descriptions of Two New Species of Scaphisoma Leach (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae: Scaphidiinae) in Korea.
