O . Bozkurt.</p><p>Etymology</p><p>Named after the province of İzmir where the species was found.</p><p>Diagnosis</p><p>The male of the new species is similar to that of O. confluens (C. L. Koch, 1845) in having a tegulum protruding above the bulbus and thorn shaped retroventral apophysis, but differs in having a shaped tegulum (vs. sickle-shaped), two o’clock embolus termination (vs. three o’clock) and length retrolateral tibial apophysis, which about one third of the length of the cymbium (vs. two thirds of the of the cymbium) (Figures 1 and 2, cf. Lazarov et al. 2001, figs 7, 8). The epigyne of O. izmirica sp. n.</p><p>that of O. confluens (C. L. Koch, 1845) by having an epigyne with hood and without septum, a not spermatheca, but differs by the kidney shaped spermathecae (vs. oval) (Figure 4, cf. Lecigne 2016,</p><p>Description of male. (Figures 1–3).</p><p>Total: 3.9; II. Leg; Fe; 1.1, Pa: 0.5, Ti: 0.8, Mt: 0.7, Ta: 0.5; Total: 3.6; III. Leg; Fe; 0.7, Pa: 0.3, Ti: 0.5, Mt: 0.35, Total: 2.1; IV. Leg; Fe; 0.8, Pa: 0.3, Ti: 0.5, Mt: 0.4, Ta: 0.3; Total: 2.3. Prosoma brown, its middle part more yellow brown. Eye tubercles yellow coloured. The first two pairs of walking legs brown, the others colour. Dorsum of abdomen mottled light brown (Figure 3A–D). Pedipalp with three tibial apophyses: hooked proventral (Pva), cone-shaped spike retroventral (Ra), and long thread-like retrolateral (Rt). Tegulum tongue-shaped, very slightly protruding above the bulbus. Embolus (E) oblongate, originates at about o’clock, gradually narrows, slightly curved retrolaterally, and finishes at about 13:30 (Figures 1 and 2).</p><p>Description of female. (Figures 3–5).</p><p>Measurements. Total length 3.8, Prosoma 1.7 long, 1.6 wide; Abdomen 1.9 long, 2.1 wide. Ocular long. Chelicerae 0.6 long, 0.35 wide. Sternum 0.9 long, 0.8 wide. I. Leg; Fe; 1.5, Pa: 0.7, Ti: 1.1, Mt: 0.9,</p><p>HISTORY yellow-brown (Figure 3E–H). Epigyne with U-shaped hood (Eh), which about twice as wide as long sclerotised margins. Spermathecae (S) kidney-shaped, oppositely positioned. Fertilisation ducts (Fd) apart (Figures 4 and 5).</p><p>Habitat. Found in flowery pasture, oak debris and forest habitats (Figure 8B–D).</p><p>Distribution. T . Danışman and İ . Coşar.</p><p>HISTORY</p><p>Description of male. Total length 3.5, Prosoma 1.8 long, 1.7 wide; Abdomen 1.7 long, 1.9 wide. Ocular 0.7 long. Chelicerae 0.6 long, 0.35 wide. Sternum 1.0 long, 0.8 wide. I. Leg; Fe; 1.3, Pa: 0.5, Ti: 1.0, Mt: 0.6; Total: 4.3; II. Leg; Fe; 1.3, Pa: 0.5, Ti: 1.0, Mt: 0.9, Ta: 0.6; Total: 4.3; III. Leg; Fe; 1.0, Pa: 0.4, Ti: 0.7, Mt: 0.45; Total: 3.05; IV. Leg; Fe; 1.0, Pa: 0.4, Ti: 0.7, Mt: 0.6, Ta: 0.45; Total: 3.05. Prosoma light brown, its part yellow-brown. Eye tubercles grey coloured. Legs pied light brown coloured. Dorsum of mottled black-brown (Figure 6). Pedipalp with three tibial apophyses: saddle-shaped proventral retroventral tapering apically and long retrolateral which transversely to longitudinal axis of palp. apophysis curved, with two pointed branches. Embolus filiform, originates at base of bulbus, lightly retrolaterally at tip, and finishes at about 14:00 o’clock (Figure 7).</p><p>Habitat. Found on damp heath.</p><p>Distribution. Europe, Russia (Europe to Middle Siberia), Armenia.
