Fastigium verticis conical, with a longitudinal groove, apex obtuse. Apical segment of maxillary palpi about equal to subapical one. Pronotum comparatively short, humeral sinus conspicuous, or inconspicuous. Tegmina and hind wings considerably surpassing apices of postfemora. Male stridulatory apparatus developed. Procoxa with a spine. All femora unarmed. Lower lobes of hind knees bluntly rounded. Protibiae with open tympanum on each side. Posttibiae with three pairs of apical spurs. Male ninth abdominal tergite with a median process; cerci symmetrical or asymmetrical; subgenital plate with paired styli. Alloxiphidiopsis quadratis sp. nov.</p><p>(Figs. 1–7)</p><p>Male. Body medium for the tribe Meconematini . Fastigium verticis conical, comparatively stout and short, apex obtusely rounded, with dorsal longitudinal sulcus. Eyes globular, obviously protruding forwards. Apical segment of maxillary palpi slightly shorter than subapical one, apex enlarged.</p><p>Pronotum protruding backwards, anterior margin nearly straight, posterior margin semicircular, posterior sulcus distinct, metazona slightly raised; lateral lobe short, high almost equal to long, humeral sinus indistinct. Procoxa with a long spine, femora without spines on ventral margin, protibiae with 4 and 5 spines on internal and external sides of ventral margin separately, and with a pair of apical spurs on ventral margin, tibial tympana open on internal and external sides, long-oval. Mesotibiae with 4 and 5 spines on inner and outer sides of ventral margin separately. Posttibiae with 25–28 spines on internal and external sides of dorsal margin, geniculate lobe obtusely rounded. Tegmina surpassing hind knees, apices obtusely rounded, hind wings longer than tegmina.</p><p>Ninth abdominal tergite obviously protruding backwards, middle area thin, the basal part on ventral margin with a pair of leaf-shaped processes, apical area enlarged, square-shaped, dorsal margin flat, ventral margin prominent ventrad, posterior margin truncate. Tenth abdominal tergite with posterior margin obviously concave, symmetric, lateral area enlarged backwards. Cerci asymmetric, basal portion broad, separated into two branches, dorsal branch long, curved internally and dorsally, apical area slightly broadened, planate, apex blunt; ventral branch of left cercus curved inwards, basal area thin, slightly twisted, apical area enlarged; ventral branch of right cercus long, curved inwards, middle area thin, apical area slightly enlarged. Subgenital plate feebly oblong, basal part slightly broad, posterior margin truncate. Styli cylindric on lateral margins of apical area of subgenital plate.</p><p>Coloration. Body green. Eyes yellowish brown. Posterior margin of tegmina light yellowish brown. Tibia spines with apices yellowish brown.</p><p>Female. Cerci thin and long, middle area stout, apices acute, with many thin hairs. Ovipositor long, basal part stout, slightly curved dorsally, apices of ventral valves hook-shaped. Subgenital plate with broad base, lateral margins curved dorsally, posterior area narrow, apex straight, centre slightly convex.</p><p>Measurements(mm). Body: 312.0, Ƥ12.5; pronotum: 33.8–4.0, Ƥ3.6; tegmina: 318.0–19.5, Ƥ20.5; postfemora: 39.5–10.5, Ƥ10.5; ovipositor: Ƥ11.0.</p><p>Type material. Holotype, male, Yangbi, Yunnan, 16 August, 2009, collected by Ming Qiu and Rui-Lian Li. Paratypes, 1 male and 2 females, Yangbi, Yunnan, 16 August, 2009, 1 female, Tengchong (Mountains Gaoligong), Yunnan, 9 August, 2009, collected by Ming Qiu and Rui-Lian Li.</p><p>Discussion. The new species resembles A. cyclolamina Liu &amp; Zhang, 2007, but it differs from it in: ninth abdominal tergite of male obviously protruding posteriorly, middle area thin, apical area enlarged, squareshaped, posterior margin truncate; cerci of male asymmetric, dorsal branch thin and long, apex slightly enlarged, ventral branch curved inward, basal area thin, apical area enlarged.</p><p>Distribution. China (Yunnan).</p><p>Etymology. Fastigium verticis conical, stout and short, apex obtusely rounded, with dorsal longitudinal sulcus. Eyes oval, protruding forwards. Apical segment of maxillary palpi slightly shorter than subapical one, apex enlarged.</p><p>Pronotum short, anterior margin almost straight, posterior margin angularly rounded, metazona shorter than prozona; lateral lobe comparatively low, humeral sinus indistinct Thoracic auditory spiracle large, peanut-shaped. Tegmina much surpassing apices of postfemora, hind wings slightly longer than tegmina. Procoxa with a spine, protibiae with 4 spines on inner side and 5 spines on outer side of ventral margin, tibial tympana open on internal and external sides, femora without ventral spines. Posttibiae with 25–27 spines on internal and external sides of dorsal margin separately, and a pair of apical spurs, genicular lobe obtusely rounded.</p><p>Ninth abdominal tergite protruding backwards, comparatively short, slightly surpassing posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite, basal area of process slightly narrow, apex obtusely rounded, finger-shaped, with median longitudinal carina. Tenth abdominal tergite asymmetric, posterior margin concave, right margin prominent, with finger-shaped process curved outwards. Cerci asymmetric, inner margin on basal part with a finger-shaped process, basal part of left cercus broad, lamellar, divided into two branches, dorsal branch curved interno-dorsally, slightly enlarged; ventral branch curved interno-ventrad, then curved forwards, apex truncate, subapical area with a short process; basal area of right cercus broad, dorsal branch with thin basal part, then slightly enlarged, apex thin, obtusely rounded; ventral branch curved ventrad, basal area broad, middle area slightly thin, then enlarged, apex thin, obtusely rounded. Subgenital plate long, basal margin broad, apex comparatively straight, centre slightly concave. Styli thin and long.</p><p>Coloration. Body green. Eyes light brown. Spines of posttibiae with apices brown. Apical area of third tarsus brown.</p><p>Female. Unknown.</p><p>Measurements (mm). Body: 39.0–10.5; pronotum: 33.8–4.0; tegmina: 315.0–15.8; postfemora: 311.0–11.5.</p><p>Type material. Holotype, male, Lancang, Yunnan, 13 August, 2007, collected by Fu-Ming Shi and Shao- Li Mao. Paratypes, 1 male, the other data as holotype; 1 male, Longling (Lameng), Yunnan, 5 August, 2005, collected by Hao-Yu Liu.</p><p>Discussion. The new species is allied to A. irregularis (Bey-Bienko, 1962), and A. ovalis Liu &amp; Zhang, 2007, but it is different from them in: ninth abdominal tergite of male short, slightly asymmetric; tenth abdominal tergite of male asymmetric, posterior margin concave, right margin prominent, with finger-shaped process curved outwards; cerci of male asymmetric, complex.</p><p>Distribution. China (Yunnan).</p><p>Etymology.
