Oxyporus (O.) lawrencei Campbell, 1974

Material. One female: “ México: Distrito Federal, Delegación Milpa Alta, límite sur con Morelos. 3300 m. Bosque de pino. En hongo sobre tronco. 15IX1998. J. Márquez col./ Oxyporus lawrencei Campbell, 1974, J. Márquez det. 2003” (CCUAEH).

Discussion. This species was described based on two males from “Eslava, Mexico ”, a locality that could not be found in atlases and gazetteers (Selander & Vaurie 1962; Campbell 1974). However, this locality is specified in the “Biologia CentraliAmericana” as being in the Distrito Federal, at an elevation of 8000 feet (Selander & Vaurie 1962). The newly discovered female specimen confirms that O. lawrencei does indeed occur in Distrito Federal. This species has also been recorded from Jalisco, Mexico, Michoacan and Morelos (NavarreteHeredia et al. 2002). Females of O. lawrencei have not been described previously (Campbell 1974). Although our female specimen generally agrees with the original description (based on males: Campbell 1974), we did observe some differences which are summarized in Table 1.
