Gonionotophis brussauxi prigoginei Laurent, 1956a: 107 . Type locality: Kamituga (Kivu).

Distribution. This species ranges from Cameroon to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In Equatorial Guinea it has been recorded from Río Muni at Monte Alén National Park (Lasso et al. 2002) (Map 32C).

Comments. Type species of the genus Gonionotophis .
