Distribution. It extends from Ivory Coast to Kenya and southward to northern Angola.In Equatorial Guinea it has been recorded in Bioko at Moka Lake (Mertens 1941), Ureca, Moka, and between Moka and San Carlos (Mertens 1964a), and in Río Muni at Benito River (Boulenger 1900) and Monte Alén National Park (Lasso et al. 2002) (Map 30B).
Comments. Pseudohaje goldii occurs across a wide elevational gradient, being one of the reptile species that inhabits from sea level to high altitude environments such as the surroundings of Moka Lake at 1800 m above sea level (Mertens 1964a).
