Atractaspis corpulenta kivuensis Laurent, 1958: 127 . Type locality: “ Rivière Bibugwa, Kivu ”.

Distribution. It extends from Guinea in West Africa to the eastern of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In Equatorial Guinea it had never been recorded (Map 28A).

Comments. We provide the first record of A. corpulenta for Equatorial Guinea.
