Lepidosternon jugulare (Peters, 1880): Strauch 1881: 124 (emendation).

Lepidosternon koppenfelsii Strauch, 1881: 124 . Type locality: “ Westafrika (Gabon)”.

Monopeltis semipunctata Boettger, 1893: 89 . Type locality: “ Kamerun ”.

Distribution. Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and likely Gabon. In Equatorial Guinea it has been recorded from Río Muni at Etembue (Gans & Lehman 1973) (Map 16C).

Comments. The phylogenetic relationships of this species in relation to other congeneric species remains unknown (Measey & Tolley 2013). A comprehensive revision of this species was provided by Gans & Lehman (1973).
