Distribution. Endemic to Annobon (Fuhn 1972; Jesus et al. 2007; Soares et al. 2018; Ceríaco et al. 2018) (Map 12B).
Comments. The species level status was supported by Jesus et al. (2007). It is more closely related to P. cabindae than to the other congeneric species from the Gulf of Guinea islands (Soares et al. 2018).
