HOLOTYPE. ZSI 3351.
TYPE LOCALITY. “ Persia meridionali” [= southern Iran]; the locality was more specified by Boulenger (1920) as “near Niriz [Neyriz], about 100 miles east of Shiraz, S. Persia ”.
DISTRIBUTION. Endemic to Iran.
DISTRIBUTION IN IRAN. Fig. 116. From southern Kermanshah Prov. in a belt between the western Zagros hillsides and the Mesopotamian Plain to central Fars Prov.
HABITAT. Dry steppe hilly habitats with xerothermic vegetation ( Amygdalus, Pistacia).
REMARKS. By separating T. kurdistanicus into a separate species T. princeps became endemic to the Zagros foothills in Iran.
