Scheerpeltz’ (NMW) ; 2 ♂♂, 2 ♀♀: same data as the previous except red label: ‘COTYPUS Mannerheimia afghanica O. Scheerpeltz’ (NMW) ; 12 ♂♂, 6 ♀♀: ‘ J. Klapperich Kamdesch 2200 m Nuristan 28.4.53 Afghanistan’, ‘ex coll. Scheerpeltz’, ‘COTYPUS Mannerheimia afghanica O. Scheerpeltz’ (cSh, NMW) ; 1 ♂: ‘ J. Klapperich Achmede Dewane’, ‘ 2800 m, Bashgultal, Nuristan, 24.7.52, O. - Afghanistan’, ‘ex coll. Scheerpeltz’, ‘COTYPUS Mannerheimia afghanica O. Scheerpeltz’ (NMW) .

Remarks. Mannerheimia afghanica was originally described from “ Afghanistan, Nouristan, Kamdesch, 2 000 m”. The type series is large (the holotype and 210 paratypes) and deposited in Zoologisches Forschungsmuseum Alexander Koenig, Bonn, Germany (ZFMK) and Muséum d’Histoire Naturelle de Paris, France (MHNH). Specimens of the studied material above are originated from the type localities but do not belong to the type series.
