Recently, Földvári & De Meyer (1999) revised the Central and West European fauna of Tomosvaryella, providing an identification key. For the current study, however, it became necessary to obtain the types of Tomosvaryella minuscula (Collin, 1956), a species not treated by the latter authors. As it turned out, males are conspecific with Tomosvaryella magyarica Földvári & De Meyer, 1999 including the unique genitalic features and both names are proposed for synonymy hence (syn. nov.). For description and genitalic figures see Földvári & De Meyer (1999) under T. magyarica . For properly assessing the features of the phallus and phallic guide a magnification of 80 times or more is advisory. The species has been found in Germany, Hungary, Sweden and Switzerland.
