Description. Length about 2.0 mm. Body (Fig. 1B) subparallel-sided; surface glossy and densely pubescent, with fine microsculpture. Body reddish brown; head and abdomen darker than other parts. Head. Subtriangular, slightly transverse, about 1.2 times as wide as long, widest behind eyes, slightly narrower than pronotum; vertex depressed; eyes relatively small and slightly prominent, about 0.8 times as long as temples; gular sutures moderately separated, diverged basally; infraorbital carina absent. Antennae relatively short and more or less dilated apically; antennomeres 1–3 elongate, 1 about as long as 11, 2 longer than 3, 4–5 slightly transverse, 6–10 transverse, 11 longer than wide and about as long as preceding two combined. Thorax. Pronotum slightly transverse and depressed in posteromedian region, approximately 1.2 times as wide as long, widest in about middle; hypomeron partially visible in lateral aspect. Elytra slightly transverse, slightly wider than pronotum, approximately 1.7–1.8 times as long as wide, pubescence directed posteriorly and postero-laterally, postero-lateral margin sinuate; hind wings fully developed. Legs slender and long, with pubescence and macrosetae; tibiae with two spurs at apex; tarsal formula 4-5-5; hind tarsomere 1 about as long as 2. Abdomen. Parallel-sided, widest at middle; surface glossy and densely pubescent; tergites III–V impressed in basal region; male tergite VIII with 4 long macrosetae on each side of midline, posterior margin subtriangularly emarginate; male sternite VIII with about 4 long macrosetae on each side of midline, posterior margin truncate in median region, with 7–8 marginal setae conspicuously; female tergite VIII similar to male; posterior margin of female sternite VIII truncate in median region with conspicuous and long marginal setae. Aedeagus. Median lobe ovate; apical process long and slender, pointed apically in lateral aspect; triangular and pointed apically in ventral aspect. Spermatheca. Bursa elongate, extended in apical half; duct coiled apically.

Material examined. 4 exx., Corea spet. 1983 Myohyangsan Mts. Exp. Inst.Zool.Cr. [North Korea, Pyeon-ganbuk Prov., Mt. Myohyangsan, 1983 [ISEA]; 1 ex., Korea 1981 Thesongho A. Szeptycki [Korea, Pyeongannam Prov., Taeseongho-lake, 12 vi l981, A. Szeptycki].

Distribution. Korea (North), Russia (East Siberia, Far East, West Siberia), Europe.

Remarks. This species was recorded by Paśnik (2001) from North Korea, but no specimen has been collected in South Korea. We could not describe the mouthparts in detail because no specimen was available for dissection.
