Genus Chondrorrhina Kraatz, 1880

This is a controversial taxon. Taxonomical comments were provided by Serrano et al. (2020). There are two subgenera recognized in the genus, including the nominal one and Plaesiorrhinella Krikken, 1984 (Antoine 2008). Beinhundner (2017b) recognized a total of eleven species in the genus (but see Schoolmeesters 2019) and two species were added recently (Garnier et al. 2018). There is one species recorded for Guinea-Bissau (Brivio 1958).
