Remarks. D. (Dt.) papillifera has been described from Congo as a subspecies of the East African D. (Dt.) modesta . Csuzdi (1995) recognized that the ornamentation of the penial setae differs markedly in the two subspecies (serrated bars in papillifera and small denticles in modesta) and elevated papillifera to species rank.
