Family Benhamiidae Michaelsen, 1897

Remarks. Benhamiinae was merged into the acanthodrilid subfamily Trigastrinae by Michaelsen (1900), and resurrected by Csuzdi (1996a). Subsequent molecular studies corroborated its monophyly (Pop et al. 2005, James & Davidson 2012), and Blakemore (2005, 2015) as well as James & Gamiette (2016) suggested family rank, which is adopted here as well.
