Anomopterellinae: Rasnitsyn, 1980: 180 [as subfamily of Praeaulacidae]; Zhang & Rasnitsyn, 2008: 483 [rediag.]; Li et al., 2013a: 3 [diag., restored as a family of Evanioidea].

Currently 12 species within three genera of this family are recorded in the world, with nine species from two genera reported from China, included within Anompopterella (8 spp.) and Synaphopterella (1 sp.).
