Type species — Lepturgantes variegatus Gilmour, 1955 (original designation).

Diagnosis. Frons broad and moderately convex; lower eye lobes distinctly longer than genae. Antennae 12segmented in both sexes. Prothorax transverse or trapezoidal; sides of prothorax with developed tubercle near base. Pronotum without tubercles. Prosternal process and mesoventral process narrow, laminiform. Elytra elongate, without carina or centrobasal crest. Number of species currently included: 8; in Mexico and Central America: 1.
