Diagnosis: Cypridea kegeli is a small Cypridea species with a coarse dimple-sculpture on the lateral centre and with a more or less indented anterior cardinal angle, as is the case with the northwest German Cypridea ’s of the angulata group.
Holotype: Carapace, T.-K.-Nr. 3173
Dimensions: (greatest) length 0.85mm, height 0.39mm, width 0.55mm.
Remarks (Bate et al. herein): Wicher’s figures, a drawing x60 and a photograph x45, show dimensions larger than those he published (above). Moos (in Wicher) also figured the left side of carapace T.-K.-Nr. 3175, which we figure here.
