Type Species: Cypridea (Sebastianites) fida Krömmelbein, 1962
Diagnosis: Fairly large carapace. Without (or with strongly atrophied) rostrum. With a more or less defined median sulcus and characteristic valve swellings in front of, behind or also ventrally to the sulcus. Fine sculpture that consists mostly of pits frequently only covering the inflated valve area leaving the sulcus free. Some species without fine sculpture.
