Diagnosis: A small Cypridea species with a strongly bowed dorsal margin and a characteristic knob-like or sometimes more pointed ventro-lateral node more or less in the middle of each valve.

Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 4177.

Paratypes: 6 carapaces under SMF Xe 4178 .

Dimensions: Holotype, length 0.63mm; height 0.42mm.
