1965a Cypridea maior n. sp. —Krömmelbein, p.181–182, pl. 11, fig. 3.
Diagnosis: A medium-sized Cypridea species with a close relationship to C. ventronodata Krömmelbein, 1962 . The dorsal margin is fairly evenly curved, with scarcely noticeably protruding cardinal angles. The lower posterior carapace end in lateral outline is slightly pointed and drawn forward. On each valve is a node-like thickness, mostly protruding only slightly, in medio-ventral position. Rostrum more or less strong, rounded, fairly strongly bent back. Carapace in dorsal view stockily biconvex, carapace ends blunt. Carapace surface smooth.
Holotype: Carapace, SMF Xe 5340.
Paratypes: 2 carapaces, SMF Xe 5341 .
Dimensions: Holotype, length 1.01mm, height 0.68mm.
