Diagnosis: A subspecies of R. uniacantha Krömmelbein, 1962 with fine, more or less arched, longitudinal grooves on the whole central field on both valves.

Holotype: Carapace, BfB 7812.

Paratypes: Not deposited.

Dimensions: Holotype, length 1.19mm, width 0.48mm (no height given in original paper).

Remark (Bate et al. herein): The base species Reconcavona uniacantha Krömmelbein, 1962 is not mentioned.
