Capsus tibialis Walker, 1873: 109 (orig. descrip.). Synonymized by Bergroth, 1922: 16. Sysinas pallidipes: Reuter, 1907: 37 (n. comb.); Carvalho, 1955b: 226 (syn. note); Ferreira et al., 2006: 10 (distr.).

Host. Unknown.
Distribution. Brazil (Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul) and Paraguay (Carvalho, 1957; Schuh, 1995; Ferreira et al., 2006). Ferreira et al. (2006) listed S. fulvicollis from Minas Gerais in error.
Discussion. Sysinas pallidipes is very similar to S. fulvicollis Fabricius, 1803, and, at one point, was considered a junior synonym of it (Carvalho, 1951d), but later was resurrected as a valid species (Carvalho, 1955b). Ferreira et al. (2006) presented the distribution of this species under the name S. fulvipes . Sysinas fulvipes is best distinguished from S. pallidipes by the yellowish pro- and mesotibiae and pale yellow lateral margins of the hemelytra.
