Tribe Bryocorini Baerensprung

This is the smallest tribe (unless the subtribe Palaucorina is considered with only four species), containing only three genera and 31 species worldwide (Schuh, 1995). It is characterized by the distinct narrow pronotal collar, the punctate pronotum, the well-developed ostiolar auricle with a distinct knob at the end of the channel, the single closed cell on the wing membrane, the weakly dilated tarsi, and the distinct pseudopulvilli arising from the inside of each claw. All members of this tribe are associated with ferns (Wheeler, 2001). One genus and two species are known from Minas Gerais.
