BCN, 19 mi E Ojos Negros, 21-VIII-80, Faulkner & Brown (SDMC); Sierra Juárez, 31°15’N, 116°01’W, VII-14- 1983, D. S. Verity, on Arctostaphylos (DSVC); Sa. San Pedro Mártir, 66 km E San Telmo, 1770 m, on Arctostaphylos 30-VI-80, R. L. Westcott (RLWE). This species, too, has been previously recorded only from California and Oregon. Larval hosts are Arbutus menziesii Pursh and species of Arctostaphylos (both Ericaceae). This and A. angelicus may be difficult, if not impossible, to separate with certainty without knowing the host.
