Examined material. 7 sh. (MACN-In 40699); holotype (MLP-Ma 13264) and 4 paratypes (MLP-Ma 13265 and MACN-In 38140).

Description. Shell height to 20.1 mm (up to 23.5 mm according to Zelaya et al. 2011); ovate, solid.

Protoconch large, of 1.5 slightly convex whorls. Teleoconch of up to 3.5 whorls, slightly convex in outline; last whorl comprising about 80% of total shell height. Suture deep, slightly channeled. Surface pale brownish; sculptured with low spiral cords: 10 to 19 on spire whorls and about 65 on the last whorl. Aperture large, ovate, interior white; columellar callus thickened anteriorly, slightly expanded over the umbilical area.
