Examined material. 1 sh. (MACN-In 40692).

Description. Shell height to 10.3 mm (up to 21.3 mm according to Powell 1951); fusiform, moderately solid. Protoconch large, of 2 slightly convex whorls. Teleoconch of up to 4 whorls, slightly convex in outline, with slightly concave shoulder; last whorl comprising about 60% of total shell height. Suture impressed. Surface white; sculptured with 16 to 18 strong, oblique, axial ribs per whorl; and weak spiral cords: 10 to 16 on the spire whorls, and about 40 on the last whorl. Axial sculpture vanishing towards the base and shoulder, where numerous well marked growth lines are evident. Aperture ovate, interior white; columellar callus moderately thick, slightly expanded on the base; siphonal canal moderately short, somewhat oblique, wide.
