Diagnosis. The single member of the owensae species-group can be distinguished from other Sagola species-groups by the following combination of characters: body length 1.9 mm; antennomere 1 approximately 2 times longer than wide; ventral surface of male head with a pair of cone-shaped temporal depressions and small triangular process medially (Fig. 50c: arrows); hind wings well-developed; abdominal tergites IV–VI with discal carinae.
