Description of Mycetocola manganoxydans 19D2C13

Cells are aerobic, Gramstainingpositive, flagellated and rod shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, glistening and yellow colored after incubation for 4 days on MH agar at 30℃. In the API 20NE system, positive reaction for esculin hydrolysis, β-galactosidase activity and utilization of D-glucose (weak), Larabinose, Dmannose, Dmannitol and Dmaltose (weak). In the API 20NE system, negative reaction for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease activity, gelatin hydrolysis, oxidase activity and utilization of N acetylglucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid.
