Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Oman (Hamer 1986, 1988 both as Diodontus sp. no. 3), United Arab Emirates (Hamer 1986, 1988 both as D. sp. no. 1, and D. sp. no. 2; Gillett & Gillett 2005 as Diodntus sp.; Howarth & Gillett 2008).
