Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Oman (Empey 1973 as Cerceris rufofacies Empey, 1973; Bohart & Menke 1976 as C. rufofacies; Guichard 1980; Roche 2007), Saudi Arabia (Guichard 1993; Gadallah & Assery 2004a; Gadallah et al. 2013), United Arab Emirates (Bohart & Menke 1976 as C. rufofacies; Roche 1981; Hamer 1986, 1988; Guichard 1993; Gillett & Gillett 2005; Howarth & Gillett 2008; Schmid-Egger 2011; Gess & Roosenschoon 2016), Yemen (Empey 1973; Roche 2007).
