Lafoea dumosa (Fleming, 1820)

Distribution: Cosmopolitan. Species widely distributed along southwestern Atlantic Ocean (see Blanco 1994; Oliveira et al. 2016).

Remarks: Abundant, unfertile colonies were widely found in all analyzed areas, usually as epizoics on the hydroid S. subdichotomus . Also recorded in the area as Lafoea fruticosa (see Oliveira et al. 2016).
