Bolocera kerguelensis Studer, 1879
Material examined: BBB 2016: St. 11; St. 12; St. 13; St. 17; St. 18; St. 21; St. 23; St. 36; St. 40 (Fig. 2K) (MLP-Oi 4203).
Distribution: It is a common species in the area, previously recorded in the Argentinean shelf (Riemann-Zürneck 1980), Straits of Magellan (Chile), Drake Passage and Antarctic Peninsula (McMurrich 1893; Dunn 1983), and near the Burdwood bank (Dunn 1983). It was also recorded by Studer (1879) northwest of Kerguelen (48º30’S, 69º40’E, 219 m), by Carlgren (1938) in False Bay (34º15’S, 17º57’E, 91 m) and Agulhas Bank (35ºS, 20’E, 73–77 m). This is the first record in the MPA Namuncurá I.
