Actinauge longicornis (Verrill, 1882)

Material examined: BBB 2016: St. 18.

Distribution: The species was described by Verrill (1882) at the United States (39º93’N, 69º37’W, 380 m) and subsequently recorded by Carlgren (1942) in 39ºN, 35º30’W, in Bahamas (24ºN, 76º50’W, 73 m) by McMurrich (1898), and the Caribbean Sea (13º13’N, 61º 09’W, 236 m) by Verrill (1883). Riemann-Zürneck (1973) recorded the species near Río de la Plata frontal region and adjacent areas (33º43’– 38º06’S, 51º02’– 55º19’W). It was recorded from 125 m to 1000 m depth. This is the first record for the species at MPA Namuncurá II.
