Holotype male (slide Geom:11253HT-JDH, Fig. 1), Indonesia, Bali, Batoeriti; paratype female (slide Geom:11257HT-JDH, Fig. 2) (NHM). Originally described as a subspecies of Z. xylinaria (see Prout 1958). Status changed by Holloway (1982).

Holotype female, Indonesia, Lesser Sunda Islands, Flores (synonymized by Holloway (1982), examined (slide Geom:11258HT-JHD) (NHM), here confirmed as a synonym.
