Material examined. Zhongsha Islands: Shenhu Shoal, 113°0.7’E 19°30.3’N, 10 m, coll. Shaobo Ma, 4 July 2021, 1 male (15.37 × 13.08 mm), SHAS01. — Hainan Island: Jiajing Dao, 3 m, coll. Wei Jiang, 28 March 2018, 1 male (7.48 × 6.42 mm), 100-1023. All found in Acropora sp. ( Acroporidae) .
Geographical distribution. Across Indo-West Pacific and Tropical Eastern Pacific regions. (Castro 2011).
Remarks. Trapezia bidentata is relatively rare in the South China Sea, and there are few collection records.
