Zanchius breviceps (Wagner, 1951)

Synonym: Zanchius iranicus Zheng & Liu, 1993 (synonymy by Linnavuori, 2007: 40).

Distribution in Iran. Fars (Linnavuori 2009), Guilan (Linnavuori 2007), Hormozgan (Linnavuori 2004b), Khuzestan (Linnavuori 2009), Markazi (Modarres Awal 1997c), Tehran (Linnavuori 2007 and Aukema et al. 2013; Zheng & Liu 1993 and Kerzhner & Josifov 1999 under the name Z. iranicus).

General distribution and hosts. Eremian species, extending from Egypt to Yemen, also known from adjacent Sudanese subregion (from Nigeria to Erithrea); living on different plants such fig (Modarres Awal 1997c), Abutilon sp., Calotropis procera and Gossypium sp. (Linnavuori 2004b; Linnavuori 2007, 2009).
