Distribution. This species was previously recorded from Saudi Arabia by Dawah & Abdullah (2009). It was described from Egypt. In the Middle East it was recorded from Egypt, Iran, Israel and Turkey (Vikhrev 2012a; 2014).

Biological remarks. This predaceous fly is usually found near water.
