Lispe pygmaea Fallén, 1825

Lispe pygmaea Fallén, 1825: 94 .

Distribution. This species was previously recorded from Saudi Arabia by Pont (1991); Abu-Zoherah et al. (1993); El-Hawagry et al. (2018). It was described from Sweden. In Arabia it was recorded from Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and United Arab Emirates (Pont 1991; Deeming 2008; Vikhrev 2016).

Taxonomic remarks. Pont (1991) reported that Al-Houty (1989) recorded L. pygmaea from Kuwait (Page:

142; Photo 472) but it is an obvious misidentification as the photograph shows an anthomyiid.
