Distribution. This species was previously recorded from Saudi Arabia by Dawah & Abdullah (2009). It was described from Ruwenzori in Uganda from a single male.

Biological remarks. Reared during January and February from shoots of Rhytachne rottboellioides Desv. growing on the margins of Samaru lake in Nigeria (Deeming 1971) and from cultivated tef ( Eragrostis tef) in Ethiopia (Nigus & Damte 2018).
