Holotype male seen; fore and hind right legs missing, abdomen glued to the celluloid strip on which the specimen is pinned.
Diagnosis. Small species (2.8–3.1 mm); general colour brown with grey pollinosity; scutum with 3 brown vittae, the lateral ones broad; frons brown; fronto-orbital plate, face and parafacial grey pollinose; antenna, arista and palpus brown; haltere yellow; legs brown; male dichoptic; 2 orbital setae directed backwards and outwards; frontal triangle short; postpedicel very long, reaching oral margin; arista with short hairs; acrostichal setulae in 2 rows; postsutural dorsocentrals 3; scutellum with long basal and apical pairs of setae; lower katepisternal inserted closer to the long posterior one; lower calypter about twice the length of the upper one; fore tibia without a submedian seta; mid femur with 1 preapical posterior setae; mid tibia with 2 posterior setae; sternite 1 bare; sternite 5 as in Fig. 85.
