Holotype male in NMSA (not seen).
Diagnosis. 1 pair of reclinate orbital setae; arista with short hairs; dorsocentrals 2+3; katepisternals 1+2; fore tibia without a submedian seta; mid femur with 1 posterior preapical seta; mid tibia with 1 posterior seta; sternite 1 bare. Cercal plate and surstylus as in Zielke (1970b: Fig. 2).
Notes. According to Zielke (1970b), this species runs to Limnophora quadristriata in Emden’s (1951) key, but differs from this by the shining dark brown scutum.
