Notes. Until now (Pont 1980), this has been considered to be one of the three subspecies of L. aculeipes (see the note above under L. aculeipes). One male of L. a. latilamellata and one male paratype of L. a. eurymetopa were dissected and their genital morphology is identical, but different from that of L. a. aculeipes . The subspecies L. a. latilamellata is herewith reinstated as a full species with L. a. eurymetopa as a junior synonym (syn. nov.).
