Paratypus: USA. California, Lassen Co., 0.5 miles NE of Eagle Lake Field Station, on bark of Juniperus occidentalis in moist chamber, 18 Jul 1977, leg. K.D. Whitney 665, DWM 3651 [one slide, K-M001435034], (Fig. 4D).
Notes. Two slides, an isotype and a paratype, of this minute species are in the Mitchell collection. The holotype is in BPI 819062, and there are two isotypes in BPI 819056 and NY 00834478.

Notes. This is one of the samples mentioned when Nannenga-Bremekamp et al. (1991: 412) described the species. There is another slide of the same collection deposited in Nannenga Bremekamp’s collection no. 9343. The species is currently considered (Pando 1997) to be a synonym of E. apitectum K.D. Whitney.
