Type locality. Bela Vista, Nova Timboteua, state of Pará, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil (Plt. 152A), restricted to eastern and northern Amazonia, and a single record in Guianan savannas (Plt. 152A) at low elevations (Plt.152B).Observed in the field in primary forest (Cunha and Nascimento, 1983 a, Passos et al., 2018).
