Type locality. Canavieiras, state of Bahia, Brazil .

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil (Plt. 165A). Restricted to northern Atlantic Forest (Plt. 165A), mostly at low elevations (Plt. 165B). Observed in the field in secondary forest (AJSA, pers. obs.).
