Dipsas ventrimaculata (Boulenger, 1885)

Type locality. Lagoa do Patos, São LourenÇo do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul, State Brazil .

Distribution. Known from Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay, (Plt. 205A). Recorded in Pampas Grasslands, Araucaria Forest and Atlantic Forest, with marginal records in the Cerrado and Chaco (Plt. 205A), from low to high elevations (Plt. 205B). Observed in the field in grassland and savanna (Arzamendia and Giraudo, 2002; Bérnils, 2009; Ghizoni-Jr. et al., 2009).
