Type locality. Unknown.

Distribution. Endemic to Brazil (Plt. 212A). Recorded in southern and central portions of the Atlantic Forest (Plt. 212A) and marginally in Araucaria Forest at low to high elevations (Plt. 212B). Observed in the field in forest (Marques et al., 2001; Martins et al., 2008b; Marques et al., 2009).
