Ecnomus kitabal Cartwright 1990: 7, figs 3, 4.

Material examined. Northern Territory. 1 male, Blackmore R ., 17 Mar 2015, P. Dostine; 3 males, Daly R ., near Mentabie Stn, 14 Jun 2018, P. Dostine (all FFD) .

Remarks. Ecnomus kitabal was previously recorded from northern NSW, eastern Queensland, and one locality in northern WA, but until now without records from the NT (Cartwright 1990). The species is newly recorded from the NT with the addition of four males collected from two sites.
